Ithaa Underwater Restaurant in Maldives

This aquarium-type restaurant is owned by the Hilton industry and is located on the island of Rangali in the Republic of Maldives. It was arranged by using technologies taken in the constructions of public aquariums. The nine-meter restaurant cavity is surrounded by three five-meter high acrylic arches. This is the largest space ever installed underwater. The construction of the restaurant was made in Singapore, later it was shipped, and submerged by a huge crane. It is supported by four steel columns embedded in the sea bottom.

The entire construction cost nearly $5 million. The underwater restaurant can accommodate only 14 guests at a time. The range of prices are huge, as a result, guests of the restaurant should be ready to pay about $120 for breakfast and about $250 for lunch.

One man, Michael Mc from Germany was tired of rough and angry waiters, as a result, he founded the first automated restaurant in Nuremberg. Guests sit at a table with an installed screen where they choose and order a meal by their own. When food is reade, it is lowered by a special spiral belt lift. While customers are waiting for their order, they can write emails or messages to friends from the same screen device. The restaurant offers the traditional German dishes: meat plates, sausages, and steaks.
